Leadership

For more than 15 years, Ven Swaminathan has successfully completed searches for a variety of growth firms and public companies in engineering, R&D, sales, finance/accounting, and operations.

His approach to recruitment is focused on providing personalized, consultative service that prioritizes understanding the client’s unique needs and delivering high caliber placements.  This has enabled PBS to become a trusted partner to its clients.

Prior to founding PBS in 2003, Ven gained valuable experience in R&D and operations, all of which have helped him in his recruitment career. He holds an MBA from University of Rochester and outside of work, enjoys rooting for New York sports teams.

Through our process driven, data intensive and disciplined approach to recruitment, we empower our clients to build top notch teams and achieve business success.

Step 1: Discovery

We invest the time upfront to understand your company and hiring priorities. We delineate the requirements and the key skills, personal qualities and experience required for the position and establish the selection criteria to evaluate potential candidates.

Step 2: Research

We map out a search strategy and search far and wide by utilizing various sources including proprietary databases, industry contacts and networking initiatives to develop a solid pipeline of potential candidates.

Step 3: Identification

We reach out to candidates to assess and evaluate their suitability and interest in the role. Qualified candidates are identified and further screened.

Step 4: Evaluation

A shortlist of candidates is presented to client along with a summary of the candidate’s profile. We then coordinate client interviews and keep candidates informed of the next steps.

 

Step 5: Negotiation

Once client makes a decision to make an offer, we facilitate salary negotiations between candidate and client and serve as an effective intermediary.

 

Step 6: Transition

We consult with our client and follow up regularly with the successful candidate during onboarding and assist both client and candidate with the transition.
